Pre-Vetting Inspections
The company provides expert guidance in assessing & preparing vessels for all 3rd party inspections including SIRE, CDI, RIGHTSHIP and Terminal inspections.
SIRE 2.0 is based upon a risk-based questionnaire which will be tailored to the risk profile of individual vessels. The inspection process aims to look beyond human error and dig deeper into the actions and decisions taken by crew. The new inspection regime significantly expands the depth and quality of data gathered during inspections. This can enable a comprehensive assessment of the quality of a vessel and its crew.
In keeping with the above, the company can provide our clients with an in depth review and assessment based on fleet wide history of SIRE/CDI performance and recommend tailor made solutions both on board as well as ashore.
During the assessments on board, human elements i.e. physical, psychological and social factors that affect human interaction with equipment, processes, and other people are also incorporated. This is achieved by assessing Performance Influencing Factors (PIF). These are factors that make human errors more or less likely to occur, such as poor workplace design, time pressure or workload.
